(Cheap) Bathroom Organization 2

Good Monday to you all! Last week I  showed you how I tidied up my kids bathroom which is also a guest bathroom. Today I'll show you what I did in my master bath under my husband's sink (we have a double vanity).

Look at how bad it was before.

And look at how bad it looked when I emptied out the area.  Grody!

The hubz said that there was a small leak in the pipe at one time and he fixed it and may or may not have cleaned up the "mess and stuff."  Umkaaaaay.

Anywho, here is the after.

I'm not gonna lie.  I kept looking at it when it was all done and so purty looking.  Here is what I used for this area:
  • white stacking bins 3/$4.97 (Wal-Mart)
  • small woven baskets $1 each (Dollar Tree)
  • shelf liner $5.88/roll (Wal-Mart, part of roll also used here)
Let's take a closer look at the right side.  The basket has my husband's grooming tools.  The white bin in the back is for the soaps/shampoos and a bottle of alcohol since that was the best spot.

And here's a mid view.  The basket in the middle is first-aid type items and in the back you can see a couple of plastic grocery bags in that small space.  Just like my kids bathroom, I store a few in that space for our trash can.  No need to get fancy. Just neat and organized.

And here is the left side.  The basket in front is for my husband's contacts, glasses and solutions.  The top white bin is for his deodorant and both of our razors (although you can only see mine).  The bottom bin is all dental items.  We get lots of samples from the dentist.  :)

As you can see I did not label anything in this project because once again I feel there is no need.  I mean you open it up and bam we all know what is what and what it is for, right?  I'm pretty happy with the result and I'm glad that it was pretty affordable and man it is sooooo much better.  I'm beginning to have a true love for organizing. :)

Glass Vase Snowman Decor {Craft DIY}

Hello peeps!  Who is still stuffed from all of the Thanksgiving deliciousness?  Or broke from those fab after-Thanksgiving sales?  I don't do the whole crazy shopping thing but I am stuffed and happy.  I got to watch lots of t.v. and in my jammies.  Woot!

On to my latest project, except I made this last year so I'm kinda lying.  I never got to share this with you guys because of lots of computer problems.  Anywho, I made a snowman using two floral vases.

I was inspired to make this snowman after I saw another blogger make with decor with round floral vases.  She used different glitter for each vase and then topped each one with a witch hat.  It was classy and cute.  And darn.  I wish I could remember that blogger and her site.
Well here is how I got down to business when making this snowman.

Supplies:
2 - round floral vases 1 - sponge brush Mod Podge 1 - small jar of white glitter 2 - sheets black felt w/glitter scissors craft or felt glue 2 - lids from food canisters (like oatmeal) …

Organizing da Hair Accessories

Before my daughter was born it was just the hubby, our boy and me.  I only had me to worry about when it came to all things hair.  Then baby girl came along and little by little the hair accessories, combs, brushes and everything else started to pile up and take over my middle bathroom drawer.  Up until a couple of weeks ago my hair accessory drawer looked like this:

It was so bad and I couldn't stand it any longer.  Actually it had been quite some time that I could not stand but I finally got around to organizing it.  While still on holiday vacation in early January, the kids and I took a field trip to The Container Store.  One of my new favorite stores.  Love!

After browsing, browsing, browsing and more browsing I finally got down to business.  Mainly because the kids were getting restless otherwise I could have spent the whole day there and compiled a huge wish list.  I came home with some Linus drawer organizers and after a major make-over our hair accessories bathroom drawer lo…

Dallas Cowboys Yarn Wreath {Craft DIY}

Happy September, everyone!  I love this month not only because it means that Fall is around the corner but because it is also my birth month.  I turned 38 a week ago and I'm embracing my new age just like I do every other age.  Go me!  :)

Anywho, let's get down to it shall we?  September also means the start of football season so what better way to kick it off then with a little pride of our favorite NFL team.  Yep, yep!  This week I thought I would show off a wreath I made at my boy's request.  He wanted some Dallas Cowboys decor and a wreath was the first thing that came to my mind.  I did not want it to be too girly so this is the best that I could create in my mind and the execution wasn't too bad.  I mean he does like it so I guess that's good, right?
I present to you my Dallas Cowboys yarn wreath.

After making this Valentine yarn wreath I said I would never do one again but I figured that making a football wreath out of yarn would be better than ribbon.  We…
