My Dallas Cowboys Nail Art

Happy Sunday, y'all!  As you all know the Fall season is right around the corner and football season has just begun.  And if you read this blog then you know that my house is a Dallas Cowboys fan zone. Born and bred baby.  Win or lose we are fans through the good and the bad.

Fun side note: In high school, my hubby was chosen as football athletic scholar from our high school and was invited to attend a banquet where he got to meet and take a picture with the great Tom Landry.  A very proud and exciting moment for him.  :)

Okay on to the girlie part of this post.  Because we are true blue fans I thought I would have some fun with my nails for game day.  Now, all of the crazy and fun nail art I have seen lately is pretty neat but it's not quite my style.  I'll do a flower on my big toe when I get pedicures or something like that but I've never done anything else.  But something about all this nail art these days got me wanting to do a little something and this is what I came up with for my nails on game day.

I used three different nail polishes and some nail stickers.  No way was I going to draw a star on my nails or something else.  I ain't got that kind of talent.  And although the star is not blue, I had to throw in some pink in there 'cause it's me you know.  Gotta have pink in there.  Besides the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders throw in some pink too so that tells me it's a-okay to do so.  :)

The blue polish I used is called Your Fly Is Down by Spoiled, a Wet 'n Wild polish.  I'm gonna tell you right now that this polish was okay and the brush was a bit too wide for my liking.  It made it a little hard to work with especially on my pinkie fingers.  But it was the best blue I could find to match the Cowboys colors.  I only went to one store, CVS, to look for a blue nail polish and this is best Cowboys blue I could find.

I used Sally Hansen's #120 Diamonds for my ring finger. It's so sprinkle sparkly as my daughters says. :)

I then used these fun nail stickers and I thought they were perfect for my game day mani.  How pretty in pink are they?  I placed one star on each ring finger over the Diamonds polish.  I then used a coat of clear polish (also Sally Hansen) over each nail nail including the nail sticker.  I did this in hopes that the sticker will stay in place better.  We'll see how it lasts through the day.

And once again here is my true blue with a touch of pink mani.  Go Cowboys!  :)
